2020 CHAIN OF PONDS GRAVE’S GATE SHIRAZ, ADELAIDE HILLS

A lot of winemaking detail has gone into this $20 wonder, including 15 months’ maturation in French oak (25% new). It hits well above its pricepoint – outstanding value here – to deliver a joyous Hills shiraz experience in deep spicy aromas and fruits with black cherry, plum, violet and an earthy nuance. A fine line of supple tannins brings length and balance. JP 14.5% alc.
