Always a good show of deep plum fruit and spice with the French oak barriques (25% new) adding cedary flavour and support. It’s delightfully spicy and a little peppery, with tangy, juicy acidity and tannins holding sway. Another year in bottle will have this in complete harmony, although it is already a smart wine.
