McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Established in 2015 by winemaker Geoff Thompson and family, Grounded Cru handcrafts wines from McLaren Vale, the Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek. Together with winemaker Matt Jackman, they strive for texture and nuance in their wines to complement the fruit generosity of their vineyard sites.

How should we enjoy these wines this season? Gather with friends and enjoy our pinot gris with fresh seafood and Asian cuisine. Our GSM is wonderfully versatile; pair with free range chicken and a fresh garden salad. The depth and balance of our single vineyard 2020 Inc Cabernet Sauvignon matches perfectly with a chargrilled ribeye and twice-cooked kipfler potatoes.

What wine are you most excited about? This week we’ve been blending our 2022 McLaren Vale Grenache, to be released in December. Bursting with plum and raspberry aromas, with brightness and depth from our 85-year-old dry grown bush vines in McLaren Vale, this is an exciting grenache.
