REGION: NORTHERN TASMANIA OWNER: NATALIE FRYAR

Born out of a belief that good things should be made from beauty and purpose, Bellebonne ( bell-y-bon) represents everything that is Tamania – both beautiful and good. The winery is the passion project of Natalie Fryar, who, according to Halliday

Wine Companion chief editor Tyson Stelzer, has established herself as one of Australia’s top sparkling winemakers, also winning the title of “Rosé Queen”. With more than 30 years of winemaking experience to her name, and an intimate knowledge of Tasmania’s top sparkling sites, Natalie is driven by the knowledge that Tasmania creates sparkling wines of detail and precision. Bellebonne is the result of that graft and knowledge – the culmination of Natalie’s passion.

Which of your latest releases are you most excited about?

After their hugely successful 2017 Bellebonne Vintage Rosé release, Bellebonne announces the mid-spring arrival of its 2019 Vintage Rosé and inaugural 2015 Blanc de Blancs. Both wines showcase the power, depth, elegance and complexity of Tasmania’s Pipers River and the single vineyard where they are grown; the former entirely pinot noir, the latter

100 per cent chardonnay. These highly anticipated products embody everything winemaker Natalie set out to achieve when her brand began – working towards crafting the finest traditional method sparklings in a style. “I passionately believe these sparklings are a fitting tribute to where they are grown: they are made by Tasmania”.
