What are your thoughts on social media? Gaming? Screen time?

We have quite strong boundaries around IT. For our younger children (that is, under 13s) it is pretty much a no- go zone, except for the devices they use during school hours. Our daughter who is 11 must have an iPad for school, but it is used only during this time. If she needs it for homework then she is monitored when she uses it and it is only used for this purpose. The older children have strong limits on their devices too. We do not have wi- fi upstairs, which is where their bedrooms are located. They used to get really annoyed about this, but I just pushed through the complaints until they accepted it and now no one really pushes back. They don’t seem that interested in gaming either.
