Lily Henderson, national nutrition advisor at the NZ Heart Foundation, says that we don’t have to resort to extremes or fad diets in order to eat for a healthy heart. “While there are common themes, such as eating mostly plant foods and less processed foods, there is no ‘one size that fits all’ approach,” she says. “It’s all about finding a style that works best for you and your family.”
