NEW PROJECTS

Tom Ford has been named the next chairman of The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and will succeed current chairwoman Diane von Fürstenberg as of 1 June, 2019. The non-profit trade organisation, founded in 1962, counts over 500 womenswear, menswear and accessories designers as members. Some 19 people serve on the CFDA board, including such luminaries as Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang.
