A LEGACY OF LUXURY

-

The foundations of tour-operator company Abercrombie & Kent were set when Geoffrey Kent launched the first luxury safaris in his home country of Kenya in 1962. Now, over 50 years later, the recent renovation of Sanctuary Olonana Camp in Kenya has provided the perfect opportunity to both reference its founder’s origins and celebrate his enduring legacy in the country. Since first opening its doors in 1999, Sanctuary Olonana has won numerous awards and accolades. Set in lush woodland on the banks of the Mara River in Kenya’s Maasai Mara (a key staging point for Africa’s annual Great Migration), the newlook Sanctuary Olonana brings the outdoors inside – with 14 spacious glass-sided suites specially designed to maximise the wilderness experience for guests and provide panoramic views of the gorgeous surrounding landscape. In addition, Sanctuary Olonana’s brand-new, ultra-exclusive two-bedroom Geoffrey Kent Suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, a wraparound deck and an infinity pool. The suite also comes with its own personal chef, safari guide and vehicle. sanctuaryretreats.com
