Scientists from Lancaster University advise that consuming natural yoghurt, which contains beneficial bacteria, may help lessen the risk of breast cancer. The researchers theorise that because evidence shows that bacterial-induced inflammation is linked to cancer, daily consumption of natural yoghurt that contains beneficial lactose-fermenting bacteria may dampen inflammation. The beneficial bacteria in yoghurt are usually referred to as probiotics.
