Scientists from Lancaster University advise that consuming natural yoghurt, which contains beneficial bacteria, may help lessen the risk of breast cancer. The researcher­s theorise that because evidence shows that bacterial-induced inflammati­on is linked to cancer, daily consumptio­n of natural yoghurt that contains beneficial lactose-fermenting bacteria may dampen inflammati­on. The beneficial bacteria in yoghurt are usually referred to as probiotics.
