BEAUTY IN A CHANGING WORLD

-

COVID-19 is quickly rewriting the playbook for global industries and the beauty world is no exception. We take a quick look at what the trend forecasters think will change in the beauty realm in the near future.

1

A RENEWED FOCUS ON THE AT-HOME SPA.

Now that we are getting used to doing our own beauty rituals at home, trend forecasters believe many of us will turn to beauty products that can create a sense of luxury and relaxation at home. As homes continue to double up as workspaces for many of us, we’ll need to create spaces that provide escapism. For many, products that enhance sleep and relaxation will become go-tos.

2

CLEAN BUT CARED FOR.

Maintaining hygiene will be the main focus for most of us and we will keep washing our hands to keep the virus at bay. However, we’ll start looking for products that offer additional skin benefits – products that not only keep us safe but keep our skin nourished and protected will become key players in our beauty routines.

3

BEAUTY FROM THE INSIDE. Although beauty that aligns with our beliefs – think vegan, cruelty-free – was already on the rise, we’ll soon see the movement accelerated as more beauty consumers look to invest in brands that take an ethical stance.
