HIS VISION FOR FUTURE

-

Attenborough has dedicated much of his 94 years visiting far-flung corners of the earth to document the awe-inspiring living world that we often take for granted. The natural historian was set to return to our screens in April, with his new nature documentary, David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet in which he reflects upon his life and the destruction he has witnessed to our planet’s fragile ecosystems. The film’s premiere was pushed back to late 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. “The living world is a unique and spectacular marvel. Yet the way we humans live on earth is sending it into a decline,” he declares in the trailer. “This film is my witness statement and my vision for the future. The story of how we came to make this our greatest mistake and how, if we act now, we can yet put it right.” He says while our planet is currently headed for disaster, it’s not too late to change course. “We need to learn how to work with nature rather than against it. And I’m going to tell you how.”
