THIS MONTH’S WINNER

The author’s inspiration for this month’s winning poem is unrequited love and relationships that - although there may be chemistry - do not eventuate. The uncertainty and unobtainability of love proves endlessly fascinating. We loved the lyricism of such phrases as “symphony of stars” and ”the rain ... released us from this relentless heat”, while the image of the question mark inside a heart is an enduring and powerful one.
