We know a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables benefits the body in so many ways. Now a new study by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) also shows that it may play a role in lessening various menopause symptoms. The new study looked at specific fruits and vegetables and their effects on various menopause symptoms. While it showed that higher intakes of fruits and vegetables are related to fewer menopausal symptoms, citrus fruits were called out as having an adverse effect on urogenital problems compared with other types of fruits.
