FASHION FORWARD
Seasonless and sustainability were the two key fashion trends for 2021 and beyond at Melbourne Fashion Week. KEVIN.MURPHY was the official hair partner for the digital show and from concept to completion, their main goal was to highlight the global movement surrounding inclusivity in hair and beauty and championing natural hair textures from thatching to manipulation, wet-looks, awkward fringes, and barely there waves and textures. KEVIN.MURPHY Leave-In.Repair, Super.Goo and Staying. Alive were used to create this controlled look that kept hair up and away from the face with ease. For the Collective Closets show, each model wore braids that took on sculptural forms to complete the look of the intricate patterns, bold colours and statement accessories that paid homage to the designers’ African heritage. To get the finished look, the KEVIN.MURPHY Sewing.Kit was essential alongside utilising Young.Again, Session.Spray and Shimmer.Shine to get the perfect glowy finish.
