The elegant floral portraits of Emma Bass.
Perth’s popular free-to-thepublic art event returns to the shores of Cottesloe Beach.
It all began with Sculpture by the Sea in 1997 – a coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama in Sydney – and it is now the largest annual sculpture exhibition in the world. In 2005, a companion event was established at Cottesloe Beach in Perth, Western Australia. It returns this year in March with the 17th year of WA’s celebration of outdoor sculpture. The exhibition is one of Perth’s largest free public events, attracting an estimated 220,000 visitors to explore the art of 70 artists from 13 countries across the 18-day exhibition. The location, on one of Perth’s most stunning beaches, with its beautiful long horizon and spectacular sunsets, makes the exhibition a must-visit.
