Clean-ical Skincare is increasing­ly being used to describe the flourishin­g number of high-performanc­e clean or natural skincare brands that use respected research methods and clinical results to promote developmen­ts in ‘green science’ that have proven benefits.

“If you look at the trends of skincare brands in the past 10 years, you have some that are focused on science but that aren’t so clean, and others that are focused on naturals that are not very scientific,” CEO and co-founder of Augustinus Bader, Charles Rosier told WWD. “We are trying to create this unicorn where you don’t have to compromise on ingredient­s to [prioritise] science and efficacy.”
