A MANGO A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY

-

As well as tasting good, new research released by Hort Innovation has found eating a mango a day can help combat stress, provide longer lasting energy and support healthy gut function. A single mango cheek contains 90 per cent of the recommended daily intake (RDI) for vitamin C, a vital nutrient for psychological wellbeing and better brain function. Mangoes also contain folate to fight fatigue and keep you going with half a mango providing 24 per cent of the RDI for folate needed for reducing tiredness and fatigue. Australian mangoes also contain a variety of antioxidant phytochemicals, which can positively affect brain function, namely gallotannins, mangiferin, lupeol and phenolic acids.
