Set the alarm for 15 min­utes ear­lier. You’ll have a few mo­ments of quiet and a less hec­tic morn­ing. Limit TV to an hour a day. Not only will it free you up for fam­ily time or ‘me time’, but re­search also shows that less TV watch­ing can re­duce your risk of pre­ma­ture death. Re­mem­ber to stretch. Stand­ing up and moving af­ter an hour of sit­ting is es­sen­tial for avoid­ing back, knee and shoul­der pain. Roll your shoul­ders a few times, raise your legs, or do a full-body stretch.
