The buzz word of the moment is JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out) – the idea that we need to unplug and embrace spending time alone. But FOMO (Fear of Missing

Out) can still take over, stopping us from the full JOMO experience. Here are three ways to get some JOMO going:

1. Disconnect: Block out time each day to go phone/email/ internet free. 2. Discover

alternativ­es: You don’t necessaril­y need to ‘do’ something but it’s easier to start with activities you enjoy: a walk; reading a book or watch a favourite movie.

3. Start saying ‘No’: There’s always pressure to take part in all sorts of events but ask yourself “Do I really want to?” If the answer is “No”, plan some time for yourself instead.
