started mak­ing sal­ads from her home kitchen in Surry Hills, Syd­ney, in 2011. Twice a week, she would dream up hearty, de­li­cious, veg­etable-packed sal­ads, load­ing them onto the back of her bike and cy­cle them around her neigh­bour­hood, de­liv­er­ing lunch to lo­cals. De­mand from the peo­ple who bought her sal­ads drove Hetty to pub­lish the pop­u­lar cook­books Com­mu­nity and Neigh­bor­hood.

Mean­while Hetty con­tin­ued to de­liver sal­ads for four years be­fore mov­ing to New York City with her fam­ily in 2015. Now based in Brook­lyn she con­tin­ues to cre­ate in­spir­ing and de­li­cious veg­e­tar­ian meals.

Hetty has been veg­e­tar­ian for over 20 years, but her food is not just for veg­e­tar­i­ans. Her plant-based recipes are truly egal­i­tar­ian, for ev­ery per­son who en­joys a flavour-packed, veg­etable-heavy dish. No la­bels re­quired.
