Hetty McKinnon
started making salads from her home kitchen in Surry Hills, Sydney, in 2011. Twice a week, she would dream up hearty, delicious, vegetable-packed salads, loading them onto the back of her bike and cycle them around her neighbourhood, delivering lunch to locals. Demand from the people who bought her salads drove Hetty to publish the popular cookbooks Community and Neighborhood.
Meanwhile Hetty continued to deliver salads for four years before moving to New York City with her family in 2015. Now based in Brooklyn she continues to create inspiring and delicious vegetarian meals.
Hetty has been vegetarian for over 20 years, but her food is not just for vegetarians. Her plant-based recipes are truly egalitarian, for every person who enjoys a flavour-packed, vegetable-heavy dish. No labels required.
