Most stores are unsure about the impact digital marketing spend is having on offline store visits. 85% of UK retail transactions happen in store, not online; however, 94% of consumers state they will research a product online before going into a store to purchase it. Technology is there to track people’s online behavior even if they do purchase offline; something for retailers to mull over.
