GREEN INITIATIVE

A giant push for fashion sustainability was made with the August 2019 establishment of the Fashion Pact. Spearheaded by Emmanuel Macron, with FrançoisHenri Pinault, it is a coalition of major fashion brands working together towards three goals: to lessen their imprint on the climate (zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050) and oceans (eliminating single-use plastics by 2030), and to promote biodiversity (natural ecosystems, endangered species). In addition to Kering, Tapestry, PVH, Inditex, and Capri holdings, individual members include Adidas, Burberry, Chanel, Nike, Nordstrom, Prada, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen. thefashionpact.org
