Designed by husband and wife team Kirsty Ward and David Longshaw, the womenswear and accessories label Longshaw Ward produces competitively priced luxurious collections that emphasize craftsmanship. Before starting Longshawward, both designers ran their own labels and other creative ventures; Ward’s eponymous brand was part of Selfridges’ Bright Young Things selection, while Longshaw has written and illustrated books, worked at Alberta Ferretti and created windows for stores including Matchesfashion.com. The synergy between them is strong: Ward’s jewelry know-how, layering and geometric style are complemented by Longshaw’s draped, feminine and hand-drawn aesthetic. The latest collection features net parkas and trench coats with unusual fabrications. Freehand embroideries of surreal flowers, jewels and other embellishments adorn skirts, suits, dresses and sleeveless jackets.
