What we all felt in our personal lives, as well as on the business side, is that the people’s sentiment towards sustainabi­lity has changed and that there is a deeper engagement with the issue. I think that was a long overdue and very important step towards a more sustainabl­e textile industry; consumers are changing their behavior, which results in more pressure on companies to change their way of manufactur­ing. And in order to become fully sustainabl­e, we need to map the entire value chain and thus identify opportunit­ies to limit the negative environmen­tal and social impacts of the textile industry and, at the same time, put a spotlight on accountabi­lity and transparen­cy.
