BORAMY VIGUIER

Central Saint Martins graduate and Parisian designer Boramy Viguier launched his label in 2018 after designing for Lanvin Menswear. He also worked with Craig Green and at Alexander McQueen, which explains the romantic, avant-garde aspects to his designs. Allusions to the ancient world have characterized his collections, but S/S 2021 was about futurism. Suiting – in myriad jacket, coat and vest variations – was the foundation, with urban and sporty moods created through pleather jackets, cargo pants and hoodies. Viguier added texture to a black color palette through layering and robes, colorful floral and folk prints, faux alligator finishes, and decorative top stitching. The label is stocked in Paris, London and Japan at L’Insane, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, 16 Aout, Nubian, Beams International Gallery, Kink, Mathematics, Adekuver, Browns, as well as Matches and Ssense. Viguier was one of fifteen designers to screen a film at Gucci’s GucciFest in November 2020, and he launched a womenswear collection for S/S 2021.
