UK RETAIL ACQUISITIONS

In early 2021, two major e-commerce players completed their acquisitions of high-profile names in UK highstreet retail. ASOS acquired Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridges as well as HIIT for 295M GBP from Arcadia Group. ASOS will not acquire the Topshop retail units but will instead remodel Topshop into an online brand. Boohoo Group bought British multinational retailer Debenhams, one of the world’s oldest department stores, out of bankruptcy for 55M GBP.
