THIERRY MUGLER, COUTURISSIME

Almost five decades since he first found acclaim in Paris, the city is again poised to celebrate Thierry Mugler with the launch of a major retrospective at Musée des Arts Décoratifs. ‘Thierry Mugler, Couturissime’ showcases the extravagant Mugler creative universe in six acts, like a classic opera, showing how nature, the animal kingdom and the future inspired his vast artistic output. The exhibition includes Mugler’s ready-to-wear and haute couture, designed from the 1970s to 2002, alongside stage costumes, films, photographs and unpublished archives.
