GROW: THE FUTURE OF FASHION

-

Textiles made from banana plants, orange peel, coconut, and cork. Find them at the current exhibition in the Fashion for Good Museum about innovative biomaterials: GROW. With the continuous inflow of new sustainable fashion initiatives, it is important to have networking players like Fashion for Good. The Amsterdam museum and innovation platform helps innovators develop their sustainable fashion solutions and connects them with big brands seeking to improve their practices. For GROW, selected young talent transformed biomaterials into a fashion collection. To top it all off, designer Iris van Herpen – renowned for pushing the boundaries of fashion through 3D technology – created extraordinary biogarments herself. The omnipresent hopeful message: the industry can transform from a linear system of take-make-waste to circular ‘Good Fashion’ that is restorative and regenerative by design.
