CIRCULAR FASHION INITIATIVES
Circularity remains a hot topic in the fashion industry, and new initiatives are continuously announced worldwide. The John Lewis Partnership and Hubbub have launched The Circular Future Fund (1 million GBP) to support groundbreaking innovations accelerating the circular economy transition. The recipients of the grant will be announced this April. In parallel, new research from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation shows that circular business models for fashion could be worth 700 billion USD, claiming 23% of the entire market by 2030. And the first circular textiles factory with a mission to transform old clothes into new fibers, Bright.fiber, will open in Amsterdam in 2023. www.circularfuturefund.co.uk ellenmacarthurfoundation.org loopalife.com
