TECHTEXTIL AND TEXPROCESS 2022 SET BENCHMARKS FOR FUTURE-ORIENTED TEXTILE TRADE FAIRS
This summer, the leading international trade fairs, Techtextil and Texprocess, focused on sustainability and innovations. In an optimum setting spread across seven hall levels, the international audience was given an opportunity to exchange information and establish and strengthen business relationships. Techtextil and Texprocess 2022 showed that visitors and exhibitors rely on personal encounters on the exhibition grounds. In addition, digital alternatives were also used, such as the apps and the Digital Extension offered for the first time, which made the trade fairs an online experience.
Under the Clothtech application area, this year's Techtextil featured 334 exhibitors with the latest products for shoe and clothing manufacture. These included innovative and sustainable materials, as well as smart textiles. At Texprocess, international exhibitors presented technologies, accessories, and services for garment manufacture and textile processing. From research, development, and training to production preparation and organization, textile machinery, textile finishing, logistics, and information technology, the offerings from 20 product groups cover large parts of textile value chains.
The Techtextil special show “Performance Textiles in Fashion” was a special highlight. Visitors experienced first-hand how functional textiles are used in the apparel industry. Smart textiles with electrodes and stretchable cables for electro-muscular stimulation, heatable clothing, or bags made of particularly resistant material inspired and amazed the audience.
The Denim Future Lab took visitors into the world of the denim industry. The Texprocess special show with the Creative Content Partner EXALIS focused on sustainable materials, processing, and luxury denim. The Speakers Corner, with its Content Partner Transformers Foundation, was well attended by visitors who exchanged ideas and engaged in discussions.
Highlighting this year's focus – innovations – Techtextil and Texprocess presented the renowned Innovation Awards. The award-winning new developments from areas such as New Products, Sustainability, and Automation demonstrate that textile innovations and technologies provide impulses for many branches of the industry and promise market and sales success far beyond their own sector. Novel cellulose fiber made from hemp waste, a bio-based and compostable dispersion for textile coatings and printing inks, or fashion made from pineapple peel, were among the winning ideas.
The next Techtextil and Texprocess will take place at Messe Frankfurt from April 23 to 26, 2024. techtextil-texprocess.messefrankfurt.com
