Big gains still to come

Smeenk believes parasport is going to continue to grow in popularity. When that happens, more technological innovations are sure to follow. “Parasport is still in its infancy,” he says. “Once the sport’s had a little more time to develop in the public eye, and there’s more innovators coming out of school and growing up thinking ‘I have these ideas on how to improve parasport’ – that’s when we’ll see a massive increase in the technology.”
