Make membership financially accessible

If your club charges fees, consider sponsoring or subsidizing a few memberships or race registrations each year for those who may lack the resources, and consider asking members to donate to a fund to cover these sponsorships anonymously. Coast Mountain Trail Running events director Gary Robbins is planning to implement a scholarship program to his organization’s race events and is “hopeful that it helps to introduce more diversity into our own events here in British Columbia.”
