Practice, practice, practice

Just as you shouldn’t enter a race without training, you probably shouldn’t tell a story without practising, or at least thinking it through. Think about what parts you want to tell, what parts you want to leave out and what parts you want to exaggerate. I am not suggesting you lie – just don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.
