Back in the day, when Midleton was the only distillery left in Eire, Barry Crockett created the Very Rare as a most superior blend of singlepotstill and grain whiskeys—a sort of ultraJameson, if you will. Our other Midleton whiskey honours Mr. Crockett’s 47 years as master distiller. Pure singlepotstill whiskey, it’s aged in bourbon barrels and partly in unseasoned, unused American oak.
