Automotive Aluminum Alloy Subframe of High Performance Extruded Profiles

(Shanghai Unison Aluminum Products Co., Ltd., Shanghai 201702) Abstract:new energy vehicles have become the main direction of the development of the global automobile industry. The application of aluminum alloy in auto parts is the most direct and effective way to reduce weight of new energy vehicles. The aluminum alloy subframe is an important approach to achieve lightweight. The extruded aluminum alloy subframe is welded from 6082 aluminum alloy, and then through the artificial aging heat treatment to achieve T6 condition. It can significantly improve the performance of aluminum alloy subframe. After forming, the tensile strength Rm can reach ≥330 MPA, yield strength Rp0.2 can reach ≥ 310 MPA, elongation can reach A50≥13%. The aluminum alloy subframe with high performance extruded profile can meet the overall performance requirements of the whole vehicle, and improve the technical level of the automobile industry as well.
