Panel Material Selection and Lightweight Optimal Design of Light Van Container

Abstract：the lightweight of container panels is an effectual approach to reduce the weight of commercial vehicle, yet there is short of an effective optimization measure. By comparison and selection of the container panel materials, a new thermoplastic honeycomb panel has been selected, and its structure is optimized. The results show that the performance of this product meets application requirement of vehicle, and the weight is reduced by over 60%, with no obvious increase of cost, and a good lightweight effect is achieved.
