I took this photo of a broad-tailed hum­ming­bird in a hibis­cus tree in Ruid­oso, New Mex­ico. I’ve never seen a bird and a bloom match so per­fectly. The gor­get matches the flower, and the head and back match the leaves. It was once in a life­time.
