www.bluesupreme.live Blue Supreme is elevating Hong Kong’s attention to specialty beer and food pairing. The unassuming space on a quiet Shueng Wan street resembles that of a neighbourhood dive bar, but with an impressively organised beer menu and good music to boot. Categorised by intensity with details including the flavour profile and origin, the meticulously arranged selections range from locally produced Hong Kong craft to a wide selection of Belgian beers, proudly indicated as live bottled or draft. Equally noteworthy is the food menu; tightly structured and sophisticated, dishes deserve to be called something other than “bar food”. Dishes consistently have a pronounced tang resembling the live culture in beer. The snow pea salad is fruity and acidic, but slight traces of bacon and Fioretto sardo speckled throughout give it a funky yet complex roundness. The duck confit burger is a meal in itself. Blue Supreme is a wonderful hideout from the bustling city offering a good excuse to expand on beer knowledge.
