TATLER SAYS
The restaurant is as stately as its colonialera address, with its shuttered windows and soothing shades of green, dark woods and gold all under cavernous ceilings. Beautifully presented pan-Chinese dishes, particularly the delicious selection of cold appetisers, showcase the sophisticated knife skills of chef Junno Li Zhen-Long. The dining room is entered via the dim-lit Dispensary, a handsome bar adjacent which offers diners creative Chineseinspired cocktails from their drink list. Service is concise and mostly attentive.
SIGNATURE DISHES
• Sweet and sour Iberico pork with dragon fruit and caramelised cashews • Chrysanthemum 'thousand cut' silken tofu in chicken broth • Pan-seared New Zealand lamb cutlets with chilli and pork
TATLER TIPS
Banquettes are the cosiest, but the tables that line the balconies boast charismatic views of the central plaza amidst colonial architecture.
