TATLER SAYS
Offering plates for sharing, Bayfare Social features an open plan layout where guests unwind surrounded by various food stations. Spanish bites are a strength, so start with a tangy scallop ceviche, boquerones and sizzling baby squids with padron peppers, paired with a handful of wines by the glass or house cocktails. A dailyspecial paella is also available in a smaller portion while the restaurant’s signature flatbreads are great for larger parties. Service is warm and informal, helpful throughout and attentive even at peak dining intervals.

Same-day lunch bookings are available for a last-minute lunch gathering, and it’s also an excellent graband-go option if you work nearby.
TATLER SAYS
Inspired by the hospitality that is key to Bedouin culture, Bedu is a welcoming, cosy yet chic space to enjoy the complex, smoky flavours of Arabia and the Levant. Arrive hungry, as you’ll want to kick off proceedings with an unctuous dip (hummus, labneh) and pillowy flatbread, before diving headfirst into a veg-heavy smorgasbord of bigger dishes. In a rare move, vegetarians are very well catered for; there is meat on the menu, but it is more garnish than main event, and you certainly won’t miss it if you don’t order any. If you only eat one thing, make it the harissa-glazed peaches, a near-magical marriage of charred, al dente peach, soothing labneh, and the warming kick of the spice.
SIGNATURE DISHES
• Honey baked feta
• Charred broccoli
• Rack of lamb
TATLER TIP
If you enjoy watching magic happen before your eyes, sit at the bar, although a banquette seat at the back of the venue gives a partial view of the action with more privacy.
