The Krug Room is as exclusive as it is intriguing. On being greeted at the Mandarin Bar and Grill, guests are escorted to a hidden carriagelike space that evokes the golden age of train travel, with views of the hotel’s inner kitchen. Available for private dining, a lucky two to 12 diners are treated to executive chef Robin Zavou’s elaborate seasonal creations. Decadent lobster tartare is bathed in champagne tableside, while reconstructed fish and chips are a mainstay on the menu. The extensive wine list has big-hitting French labels, but why drink anything else, when you can have Krug?
