Hong Kong’s quintessen­tial grill serves up satisfying­ly uncomplica­ted, classic fare made with quality ingredient­s. Dishes like beef wellington and house-smoked salmon served on a trolley laden with condiments are textbook, but are no longer a rarity in this town. Although loved for its perceived timelessne­ss, Hong Kong’s dining scene has grown up considerab­ly since The Grill’s inception. As many of the dishes rely on table-side plating, service also needs to be sharper and neater in order to justify the hefty bill.
