Perhaps it's the hotel's relatively secluded location in the city, but the St. Regis Bar feels somewhat like a hidden gem. Taking up a small footprint at one end of the lobby, the Art Decoinspired design of the venue works with its modest size for a loungelike space that is easy to while away the hours in. The cocktail list is extensive, creative and delicious, paying homage to the history of Hong Kong's tramlines and New York's subway— although we would have liked to see more local Cantonese liquors included. The service is eager, if slightly overbearing at times.

Although there is a good range of bar bites available, those feeling more peckish can order larger dishes from the lobby lounge menu just outside.
