TATLER SAYS

The decor and amenities at The Ale Project are proudly no-frills, and the bench-length high tables mean this is no place for a quiet conversation. But that's because this lively Mong Kok spot is all about the beer. In addition to the 18 local and imported beers on tap (including a CBDinfused Hong Kong brew), there are enough IPAs, porters, sour or wild ales, ciders and more to justify many return visits. To keep you going, the menu consists of comfortfood classics with a Hong Kong twist—with many dishes available as a side or a main.

SIGNATURE DRINKS

• Funky Sour

• Local craft beers

TATLER TIP

The Toasted Gai (sourdough French toast, kaya butter, crispy fried chicken, malted barley syrup) will help correct any alcohol-based overindulgences.
