SW STEAKHOUSE

-

Named after Steve Wynn, founder of the Wynn Hotel chains, SW Steakhouse is a luxurious American grill restaurant at Cotai’s Wynn Palace. The décor mirrors its sister branch in Las Vegas, with elegeant taupe and beige colour palette and ultra high ceilings—one of the iconic characteristics of the hotel’s restaurants. SW Steakhouse sources its meat from the US, Australia, and Japan, but cuts are rather general with few unique selections. Still, the quality and execution is consistently high. Each steak is caramelised on the outside with desired doneness within. Proper steakhouse classics such as Steve’s chopped salad is a playful mix of textures while the kitchen masterfully upgrades the traditional crab cake with sweet Alaskan king crabmeat. Side dishes are well executed, especially the macaroni and cheese, and are worth saving your appetite for. The bone-in steaks are great on their own, but there’s also a mean peppercorn gravy and bearnaise sauce. The wine menu documents a fine selection of labels from around the world.
