Located on the ground floor of the chic boutique hotel, The Pottinger, Gradini accommodates only a few diners, offering a cosy and intimate ambience. With gorgeous flower arrangements against the place’s mostly white interiors with light green accents that match its turquoise leather chairs, it’s certainly a conducive place for a relaxing meal. The food, to our delight, didn’t disappoint either, though big eaters might find portions a tad small. To start we would highly recommend their grilled Mediterranean octopus with citrus and baby spinach salad. The octopus was cooked just right, and is tender to the bite. For mains, the handmade tagliolini with Maine lobster in spicy fresh tomatoes and basil sauce is a good, refreshing choice that has that right balance of flavours that won’t overwhelm the palate. If you like fish, go for the pan-fried sea bass fillet in a bed of fresh vegetables in clam sauce. Dishes are relatively light so you’re sure to have room to enjoy dessert, and for that we’d urge you to try their classic tiramisu. The service meanwhile was very friendly and prompt.
