The Continental is one of those stylish addresses that social butterflies should visit to see and be seen. Under the ultra-high ceiling is a sea of forest-green sofas, matching the spread of greenery embellishing the al fresco dining area just beyond the windows. The contemporary European restaurant takes great pride in its extensive seafood selection, from freshly shucked oysters and raw bar favourites to seasonal fresh catches quickly prepared on the grill. The establishment’s wide range of food options also include meat cuts and pastas, as well a humble but ever rotating selection of seasonal desserts. The wine selection has greatly improved to include more by-the-glass options as well as some adventurous selections from both Old and New World. Cocktails are reliable but so are the boozefree homemade lemonades and fruity squashes. Service can be a bit slow when the restaurant is full but the service team is keen to assist with sound suggestions when needed.
