Durga Doraisamy joins Diageo as Global Head of Investor Relations

British multinational beverage alcohol company Diageo has announced the appointment of Durga Doraisamy as Global Head of Investor Relations (IR). Durga joins from Starbucks Corporation, where she was Vice President, Investor Relations, responsible for the leadership of the IR function at the Fortune 500 company. She brings over 20 years of broadreaching, finance-driven investor relations experience. Prior to joining Starbucks in 2014, Durga led investor relations at Puget Sound Energy, Inc., the largest investor-owned regulated electric and natural gas utility in Washington State, where she successfully led the transition of the company from being publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) into private ownership. In Durga's early career, she held audit, analyst and controller roles at Cargill, Union Distributing and Unisource Energy in the U.S. To ensure a smooth transition and focused delivery through the financial reporting period, Vinod Rao, currently Global Head of Investor Relations, will partner with Durga to co-lead investor relations through the end of November 2021.
