Taaibosch, formerly known as Cordoba Crescendo, is a cult winery known for its Cape Bordeaux-blends. Resurrected recently by the Oddo family, the relabelled Crescendo 2018 is the first release. The vineyards, perched high and close to the sea, are cooled down by the currents of the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in slower ripening, the recipe for producing quality grapes. The palate opens to black and red fruits, cloves and black pepper spice. Slowly, the underlying notes emerge: liquorice and vanilla and savoury tones. The tannins are polished and structured, the finish elegant – a wine made to last.
