Mövenpick Ho­tel & Re­sort Beirut has ap­pointed French chef Fred­eric Kulczak as its new ex­ec­u­tive chef. Chadi Gedeon, gen­eral man­ager of Moven­pick Ho­tel Beirut, said: “Hav­ing trav­eled the world, Chef Fred­eric has a wealth of knowl­edge and ex­per­tise. He will bring a dy­namic, in­no­va­tive en­ergy to the din­ing ex­pe­ri­ence at this lux­ury re­sort.” Chef Kulczak will over­see the re­sort’s six din­ing out­lets, in­clud­ing Hem­ing­way’s Ci­gar Bar and Lounge, Square Rooftop Bar, Clouds Shisha Lounge, Hur­ri­cane Pool Bar, Mediter­ra­nee Restau­rant and Burj Al Ha­mam, the fa­mous au­then­tic Lebanese restau­rant. Chef Kulczak brings with him al­most 20 years of culi­nary ex­pe­ri­ence from around the world. Prior to join­ing the team at Moven­pick Ho­tel Beirut, he served as an ex­ec­u­tive chef in France, Ukraine, Dji­bouti, Dubai, Bora Bora and the Sey­chelles. He has pre­vi­ously held the po­si­tion of pro­duc­tion chef at the three-miche­lin-star restau­rant ‘Les Crayères’, Ger­ard Boyer Restau­rant and Marc Me­neau Restau­rant, and worked as ex­ec­u­tive sous-chef at ‘L’es­pérance’.
